Position overview:

 

To assist in the management of environment, health and safety legal compliance, implementation of management systems, supporting EHS manager with implementing Ball Policies and Procedures, coordinate all EHS administrative activities.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

•    Take part in the development and maintenance of the integrated management system.

•    Effectively communicates with Ball personnel. 

•    Provides, monitors, records and maintains all environmental files/records required by company policies and procedures and federal, state, and local regulations and permits.  

•    Maintains the professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.

•    Implement best practices where applicable

•    Assist, where required, in the preparation of risk assessment and associate plans.

•    Supporting EHS manager with implementing Ball Policies and Procedures

•    Liaising with the teams to manage PPE requirements

•    Assist, where required, in the collation and publishing of monthly KPI data

•    Assist, where required, in EHS audits and inspections.

 

What are we looking for?

 

•    Nebosh certificate or eagerness to complete one

•    Knowledge of the company policy, company internal regulation and technological production process.

•    Working knowledge of the following areas: Environmental regulations, legal practices, ISO requirements 

•    Excellent communication skills and is capable of collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.

•    Action oriented, works hard, full of energy, not fearful of acting with a minimum of direction or planning.

•    Customer focus, dedicated to meeting internal and external customers' quality expectations and requirements; establishes and maintains effective relationships with internal and  external customers and gains their trust and respect.

•    Learns quickly when facing new problems; a relentless and versatile learner; open to change.

•    Ability to apply independent evaluation, selection, and substantial adaptation and modification of standard machining techniques, procedures, and criteria.

•    Maintains an awareness and complies with hazardous waste management and other environmental management requirements in the workplace by attending scheduled training sessions
