Primary purpose of the position: 
The Specialist, Order Fulfillment II is responsible for supporting the order fulfilment process as well as support planning/logistics duties for the plant.  This role is accountable for implementing and supporting policies, processes and procedures related to order fulfilment. This role also acts as an intermediary to the customer between the supply chain team and account managers for problem resolution, acting as the face of Ball Corporation to customer counterparts at different levels of the organization.  

 

Essential Responsible Areas: 

  • Supports and contributes to the customer order fulfilment process.
  • Ensures that customer POs are delivered at industry standard on time and in full (OTIF).
  • In collaboration with Global Business Services, manages business data and its integrity in JDE to support the requirements of order fulfilment.
  • Responsible for customer inventory reporting requirements and processes. 
  • Works in conjunction with production control managers to coordinate fulfilment of product shortages.
  • Supports the resolution of any issues around fulfilment of customer orders by working in conjunction with IBP team members, account managers and customers.
  • Performs customer order fulfilment functions for distributor customers as required. 
  • Provides customer inventory and sales reporting requirements monthly.
  • Reports on open purchase orders as well as tracking balances of authorized/forecasted production quantities of customer volumes as required.
  • Provide logistical support to the plant including transportation, warehousing, and inventory control discipline.
  • Participate in ASCP Process with Master Supply Planning.

 

Professional & Education Qualifications:

  • Broad training in a related field usually acquired through  high school or work-related experience
  • Job related experience for 3 year(s) minimum

 

Skills: 

  • Proficient PC (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, MS-Outlook) and analytical skills
  • Experience in ERP systems (Preferred)
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Strong communication and customer relationship building skills
  • Ability to perform well in ambiguity
  • Ability to prioritize and manage workload
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
  • Strong professionalism and integrity 
  • Must possess good negotiation skills
  • Balance operational requirements against customer requirements
  • Knowledge:
  • Previous customer service position experience
  • Consumer/B2C/B2B facing industry experience(Preferred)
  • Experience with SAP(Preferred)

 

Other Requirements:

  • Works in both office and manufacturing environments.
  • This position is exposed to occupational hazards, including but not limited to, high noise levels, physical obstacles, exposure to chemicals, etc.  
  • Must wear appropriate safety glasses, hearing protection, clothing, and footwear in appropriate areas and follow safety practices.

 Compensation & Benefits

 

-  Hiring Salary Range: $ 72,900 - 102,000 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
-  This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
