Primary purpose of the position
Control and optimize material usage, such as paints, varnishes, sealants, and oils, in collaboration with BPSA production plants. Map and implement key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress, formulate action plans, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
What are you responsible for?
- Control and promote the reduction of ODM materials such as paints, varnishes, sealants, oils, and chemicals used in washers.
- Map, implement, and periodically monitor KPIs related to these materials.
- Collaborate with Can and Cap Plants to identify opportunities and improvements in manufacturing processes.
- Map the needs of each unit and request financial resources via Capex for new products and Opex management.
- Work collaboratively with the Global Process / Quality and Manufacturing team to implement and improve best practices defined as standard globally.
- Control performance indicators and inputs, coordinating visits, meetings, and resources to ensure the achievement of results, developing tracking methodologies with plants and affected sectors.
- Support the creation of CAPEX projects by defining budgets and necessary planning to optimize results.
- Monitor closely the evolution of results and trends, anticipating actions through analysis of indicators and strategic meetings with plants.
- Actively promote a culture of safety, environment, health, quality, and the 5 S's in the workplace, encouraging adherence to standards and practices of excellence.
- Responsible for conducting new tests and improving new products with suppliers in units, aiming to enhance processes in the manufacture of cans and ends.
What are we looking for?
- Experience doing ODM material consumption control
- Experience doing process optimization
- Completed Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or related discipline - preferred
- Knowledge: Solid knowledge in ODM material consumption control
- Tools: Experience in industrial process analysis with a systemic approach and knowledge of continuous improvement tools
- Process: Experience in identifying and implementing process improvements to reduce material consumption
- Analytical: Technical analysis skills to evaluate and optimize material usage across production stages
- Communication: Strong communication and teamwork skills to collaborate across departments and achieve material consumption reduction objectives
- Knowledge of: Project management and cross-functional collaboration
- Required: Advanced English Skills
- Preferred: Basic/Intermediate Spanish Skills
