Position summary:

You will play a key role in ensuring smooth, safe and efficient operation of our plant. Your responsibilities will span all core engineering activities, from maintaining process and support equipment, to keeping our buildings and facilities in top condition. You will also ensure your team is trained, supported and delivers to expectations.


You will lead and support a variety of capital projects as they arise, helping to improve reliability, efficiency and performance across the site. You’ll also contribute to BOE and other Lean manufacturing initiatives, driving continuous improvement and supporting our culture of operational excellence.


This is a diverse, hands-on role where you can make a real impact on day‑to‑day operations as well as long‑term plant development.

 

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring the maximum efficiency from all equipment and services by means of preventative, predictive maintenance
  • Keeping abreast of any new equipment or processes that are related to our industry
  • Controlling all engineering costs within agreed budget costs and strive for reduction of maintenance costs
  • Preparing budget for capital projects and engineering expense. Execution of all plant engineering projects from the start to completion.
  • Ensure training and development for engineering staff are put into effect and continuously reviewed, revised and maintained
  • Provide training and support to new joiners and existing employees on various engineering functions and process
  • Facilitate contact and liaison with suppliers to develop all the tooling/spare parts
  • Lead team in operating with a high level of efficiency, integrity and enthusiasm, striving to achieve excellence in all endeavors.

 

What are we looking for?

  • Extensive engineering experience with sound knowledge managing the engineering department within high-speed manufacturing
  • Effective people leadership skills including training and coaching
  • Good understanding of modern lean manufacture technique - SMED, Kaizen 5S, Structured Problem Solving, Six Sigma
  • Effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to prioritize workload based upon the plant requirements and KPI’s. Good planning skills, coordination skill and follow-up skill
  • Comfortable communication in written and spoken English
