Position overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our HR team as a temporary Payroll Officer. This role involves managing various aspects of payroll processing, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees while maintaining compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Process payroll for all employees, including hourly, salaried, and commissioned staff. Process payroll adjustments, such as retroactive pay, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Collect, verify, and input employee time and attendance data.
  • Calculate wages, deductions, and taxes according to applicable laws and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records, including personal information, tax withholdings, and benefit deductions.
  • General HR administration  (contract, benefits, leave management, labour accidents, medical examinations, control doctor, documentation, training etc.)
  • Support with local communications related to HR.
  • Support and manage data management in ERP HR systems.
  • Prepare and distribute pay stubs and other payroll-related documents..
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
  • Utilize payroll software to efficiently process payroll data.
  • Monthly reporting, like payroll/attendance reports
  • Follow the payroll automatization project

 

What we are looking for?

  • Bachelor's degree in an HR-related field of study, or proven experience in the field.
  • Minimum two years' experience in payroll processing preferred.
  • Strong understanding of payroll principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Fluent in speaking and writing Dutch & English.

 

 

Work Environment: This role requires on-site presence at our Genk plant.​
Hiring Range: 49,500 - 71,280 EUR gross per year. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market benchmarks. Depending on these factors, the actual offer may fall above or below the posted range.​
Incentive Plan: This position is eligible to participate in Ball’s annual incentive compensation program.​
