Position overview:

To be part of a team of Electrical Process Engineers. To provide Electrical Engineering support in our plants. To manage, plan and co-ordinate your individual workloads. To support where necessary specific areas of the production and  process within EMEA locations predominantly, but can be any location globally. Drive and be part of  best operating Engineering practices. Be a Competent all round Electrical Engineer with excellent PLC programming skills. Extensive travel.

Key responsibilities include:

•    Accountable for providing all the Ball European Can and End plants and the accountable Licensee Can plants with Electrical Engineering technical expertise, support and project management skills to enable them to achieve the Ball objectives.

•    Be up-to-date with Electrical  Engineering skills  to ensure optimum utilisation is achieved in line with Balls objectives and priorities.

•    Be competent on electrical controls associated with all our machinery.

•    Be competent and understand industrial electrical power and distribution systems.

•    Understand and be familiar with electrical motors and selection of.

•    Understand and be competent with design of electrical installations

•    Understand the wiring requirements  and regulations in at least x 1 European country.

•    Have experience of High Voltage installations, the operation of.

•    Understand all electrical related health and safety regulations.

•    Be competent and familiar  with the requirements for machinery EN 60204.

•    Have extensive experience with and good fault finding skills related to our machinery

•    Understand the requirements for risk assessments and safe working practices

•    Be familiar and understand current methods, construction and design of  PLC networks.

•    Continually develop your PLC programming skills

•    Participate with departmental knowledge sharing.

•    Participate in self-departmental technical skill sharing.

•    Be prepared to share your knowledge and help Electricians in all our manufacturing facilities 

•    Accountable for ensuring all plants are kept informed on the best practice electrical engineering.

•    Be confident and capable of arranging, controlling and dealing with Contractors.

•    Accountable for controlling your individual travel  budget to within the set targets.

•    Assist the plants to achieve 85/2 targets in all aspects of the process as required.

•    Accountable for the development and training of direct reports.

•    Accountable for ensuring visit reports are generated.

•    Accountable for your individual Technical development.

What are we looking for? 

•    Relevant Electrical Engineering qualification

•    Electrical experience in Manufacturing

•    Ability to manage contractors

•    Worked extensively is an industrial electrical engineering environment

•    PLC programming skills Rockwell and Siemens.

•    Extensive knowledge in Electrical 

•    Ability to travel globally

•    Fluent English language skills
