As EHS Specialist, you are responsible for leading, motivating and developing our plant and you have the cross-organizationally responsibility for the working environment.

Responsibilities

• Together with the EHS Manager you have the responsibility to lead, motivate and ensure a safe and healthy working environment for all employees at the plant
• It is crucial that you drive EHS initiatives with focus on safety and well-being via your personal and positive engagement
• Make and maintain risk evaluations, safety procedures and working environment reports
• Ensure a structured and systematic working environment- and environment management
• Continuously contribute proactively and solution-oriented with ideas and suggestions for improvements and optimizations in relation to safety, working environment and efficiency at our plant
• Participate in inspections and safety walks
• Continuously update your knowledge about working environment, laws, technic and best practice
• Assist with the roll-out of Ball Operational Excellence program in the plant.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience supplemented with relevant education or an education as a mechanical engineer, production engineer or similar and experience from EHS with technical experience from similar industries
• It is crucial that you are motivated by leading through people and building strong job relations while working with motivation, feedback, development and direction for your area
• Extended knowledge to Danish EHS law within industry
• Experience with project management and management systems, for the right candidate also auditor experiences
• Experience to identify, design and drive projects for energy, waste, emissions control, environment and alike
• Knowledge about environment applications, reports, discharge calculations and implementing BAT/BREF-reference documents is an advantage
• Knowledge to ISO45001, ISO14001
• Superuser in Microsoft Office and experience with data analyses
• Thrive in a performance oriented environment, where the days are busy
• Ideally you have experience from a similar position in a modern line production with shift teams and an ambitious production
• Fluent in Danish and English in speaking and writing is a requirement.

Reference and relations

The position refers to the EHS Manager

You will be part of daily collaboration with e.g. employees, the engineering team, Quality Manager, Production Manager, HR Manager and from time to time with external experts and authorities.

Work Environment: This role requires on-site presence at our Fredericia plant.​
Hiring Range: 450,000-750,000 DKK gross per year. The final salary will be determined based on the candidate’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and market benchmarks. Depending on these factors, the actual offer may fall above or below the posted range.​
Incentive Plan: This position is eligible to participate in Ball’s annual incentive compensation program.​
