As a member of our Print Section, the main purpose of your role is to externally coat and decorate the can according to the required specification.

 

 

The Key responsibilities of the role include:

 

  • Set and run the printing line.
  • Prepare materials required for the next job on the programme and ensure they are in good order
  • Regularly inspect cans at specific intervals to ensure quality standards are maintained
  • Examine printed cans and compare them with plain samples to verify that the printing meets client specifications.
  • Detect and correct any defects by making the required machine adjustments.
  • Isolate any non-conforming product and report to the Shift manager and QC.
  • Hand over to the on-coming Print Operative and inform him/her and the Shift Manager of the state of the line 
  • Communicate effectively with other team members.
  • Minimise waste and maintain a clean and tidy workplace.

 

 

What are we looking for : 

 

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Hand tools skills 
  • Maintenance experience would be beneficial 
  • A background in printing or industrial production would be highly beneficial for this role.

 

 

This role is working a rotating shift pattern which includes days, nights, and weekends. The shift pattern is 4 weeks on days (6 am - 6 pm) and 4 weeks on nights (6 pm - 6 am).

 

 

Starting Salary: £28k - £30k plus 22.5% Shift Premium depending on experience
