Position overview:
The main role of our Press Operators is to control the process of producing a basic can, from a slug of aluminium through to the washing and internal lacquering process, ensuring that the can meets customer requirements
Shift pattern:
12h shifts / one month on day shifts and one month on night shifts.
Week 1:
Monday & Tuesday: 06:00 – 6:00
Wednesday & Thursday: Off
Friday, Saturday & Sunday: 06:00 - 6:00
Week 2:
Monday & Tuesday: Off
Wednesday & Thursday: 06:00 – 18:00
Friday, Saturday & Sunday: Off
The schedule alternates between two consecutive weeks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Set up, operate, and clean a press machine that transforms aluminum slugs into cans.
- Carry out measurements on cans to ensure they meet specifications and quality expectations.
- Perform basic mechanical tasks and apply mechanical knowledge during operations
- Accurately record all production data in the required format at the required interval
- Verify correct production information against Works Order
- Constantly look for opportunities to improve the process or product
What are we looking for?
- Previous experience in mechanical-biased role
- Good communication and understanding skills, ability to clearly explain processes.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
Total annual salary (inclusive of shift pay): £33,723.23
