Our team of Necking Operators are responsible for providing an efficient necking production and breakdown service and responsible for the the mechanical tasks associated with the necking mahcinery. 

 

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Set and run the necking machines
  • Carry out fault finding on necking machines and correct as required.
  • Monitor and control usage, tool life and requisition within Necking
  • Carry out any Necking machine repair required by the Production Manager or Shift Manager.
  • Report any problems with necking machines likely to affect production, or machine defects likely to make the machine unsafe to work.
  • Re-make spares if not available during breakdown.
  • Efficiently carry out the Planned Preventive Maintenance to company standards.
  • Hand over to the on-coming Necking Operator and inform him/her of the state of the lines

 

 

What we are looking for : 

 

  • Manufacturing or automotive background
  • CNC background is highly desirable 
  • Good communication skills

 

 

 The core hours for this role are on a rotating Shift Pattern as detailed below.

 

The requirement is to work 4 weeks on days (6am - 6pm) and then four weeks on nights (6pm - 6am)

 

- Week 1 - Mon / Tues / Fri / Sat / Sun

- Week 2 - Wed / Thurs

 

 

Total annual salary (inclusive of shift pay): £34,796.90
