Primary purpose of the position: (Describe the scope of the position)

• Responsible for efficient set –up and operations of Decorating Machines and Conveyor Equipment
• Troubleshoots mechanical, printing and process issues for continual efficient operations of equipment
• Follows procedures for quality, safety, and reporting purposes, maintains a clean work area, suggests improvements, and performs other duties as needed
• To maximize production and minimize spoilage during the manufacturing process.
• Setting-up, adjusting, repairing, maintaining and overhaul of all backend related equipment.
• Understands and complies with position related safety SOP’s and work instructions, especially for Lockout/Tagout, Chemical Handling, Machine Guarding, Housekeeping, SQF, and Personal Protective Equipment.
• Check schedule to determine need for changeover or conversion or if scheduled maintenance is in order.
• Determine if schedule or permits time for overhaul, repair or readjustments required by equipment.
• Check machines and analyze any mechanical or operational issues
• Plan for and take corrective actions if necessary to maintain optimal quality and production.
• Make changeovers or conversions by setting up assigned equipment for change in material, size or product.
• Check, test and measure product for quality specifications.
• Examine for visual defects.
• Make repair or overhaul as required Back end equipment and the associated transfer equipment and mechanical control devices, short of machining parts\. Replace worn or damaged parts.
• Retime machine action.
• Request or obtain additional quantities of supplies
• Examine, test and measure product from assigned equipment for quality specifications, using appropriate gauges and instruments and record date.
• Read schematics, prints and exploded views of machinery and equipment. Interpret and follow procedural manuals, manufacturer’s guides and operation instructions.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance inspection of assigned equipment, report findings and take appropriate action.
• Responding immediately to identify nonconforming conditions within defined time periods and with complete.
• Apply and implement 5S system.
• To carry out any task deemed necessary when asked by higher authority for the benefit of the business

Professional & Education Qualification:

High school or Mechanic diploma degree or any related field
