Primary purpose of the position: (Describe the scope of the position)

• Design, implement and enforce the quality assurance program of the QA department
• Ensure that the quality program in place, including the conduct of inspections, is adequate to assure management that all activities within the applicable regulatory requirements
• Ensure that there is adequate review of documentation, procedures and inspections by the QA department and that the audits and inspections are scheduled accordingly
• Continuously evaluate the effectiveness of the quality system
• Report on the trending of events, deficiencies and deviations to regulations, SOPs, protocols etc.
• Maintain the Master Schedule of all studies conducted
• Ensure the archiving system for raw and electronic data generated is adequate and controlled ensuring data integrity
• May be required to perform an audit of any vendor or contracting firm to qualify this firm's compliance to the principles of GLP/GCP as well as company standards of quality
• Participate of client audits and inspections by regulatory agencies
• Respond to inspection reports issued by clients/regulatory agencies
• Engage in continuous education in Quality Assurance and motivate successful QA efforts
• From time to time may perform tasks, that may be requested by the immediate Supervisor and mutually agreed upon

Professional & Education Qualification

• A Bachelor degree or equivalent
• Must be a certified quality auditor/aerospace auditor in good standing
• Minimum of 5 years of auditing experience is desirable; should have experience leading 2 or more quality audits

Skills

• Possess strong analytical and problem solving abilities
• Strong understanding of quality control standards and testing techniques
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Knowledge

• Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
• Knowledge of word-processing, spreadsheet and database applications
