Stores Lead

Position overview:

As the Stores Lead you’re a key member of the Engineering Team, reporting to the Engineering Manager. You will contribute to the success of Ball by Managing stores and maintaining its inventory with zero error and coordinating with Purchase, Logistic, Finance and engineering Department to ensure seamless process in the Spares procurement.

 

Your key responsibilities include:

  • The spareparts stores Lead is responsible for spare parts inventory control, spare parts order follow up with supplier, and logistics and receiving at the plant on time.
  • Stores Lead has to constantly communicate with key personnel and line managers in the procurement, supply chain, finance, Engineering to ensure spare parts stores operation is managed effectively.
  • Examine the stores process at hand and take steps for improvement and cost reduction.
  • Stock reconciliation Daily, Monthly, Quarterly, Half yearly & yearly and maintaining zero error. Providing accurate data to management / line manager.
  • Maintaining, managing and distribution of imported goods with zero error.
  • Manage SAP system for stores inventory control.
  • High standard of Housekeeping , apply 5S Process in spare parts stores
  • Ensure that all goods are receipt in stores are entered in to the system before being released for use. Follow FIFO methods where ever applicable.
  • Maintain the accurate stock level. Min and max levels. Raise Purchase requests on reaching minim order level.

 

Experience and skills required:

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

  • 4 to 6 years’ experience in spare parts / engineering stores management with sound knowledge of SAP in FMCG / Equipment manufacturing companies / automobile ancillaries.
  • Knowledge of handling Customs / excise will be an added advantage.
  • Good Coordination skill and follow-up skill. Excellent presentation skills.
  • Working Knowledge of SAP Logistics Module.
  • Good in handling / Controlling Inventories.
  • Co-coordinating with Foreign / local suppliers
  • Very good knowledge of Customs and Excise subject

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma / Engineering Graduate (Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics)
  • Diploma in supply chain / inventory control / Exim Management will be added advantage
