Position overview: 

 

The Chemical Process Leader will lead chemical production processes inside Aluminum can manufacturing plant, conducting research and finding ways to increase safety, efficiency, quality and reduce operational costs.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Organizing preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance of equipment and machines, as well as annual overhauls, in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations, specifications and maintenance plans
  • Participating in projects of installation and commissioning of new equipment, as well as projects of optimization and modernization of equipment in chemical production processes
  • Coordinating chemical operators work in production which runs continuously 24/7
  • Leading team of day shift chemical technicians
  • Creating and following safety and waste management procedures in chemical process area
  • Responsible for water and chemicals budgeting and usage
  • Responsible for maintenance budget within chemical process area
  • Maintaining equipment within chemical process area
  • Leading LEAN activities within chemical process area
  • Organizing team to solve the causes of equipment downtime in accordance with safety and legal regulations
  • Suggesting opportunities for process improvements and equipment renewal
  • Participating in root cause analyzes (RCA)

 

What are we looking for?

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering
  • Minimum 2 years job experience related to production environment 
  • Knowledge of key topics related to waste water treatment, reverse osmosis systems, DI water systems 
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of the essential principles of machine circuits
  • Drive for improvements and strong cross functional communication 
  • Good problem solving and ability to make independent decisions
  • Fluent English
