Position overview:
The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) ensures the proper collection and documentation of business requirements that can be understood by both business and technology stakeholders to improve the end-to-end business processes and systems by creating detailed business analysis, outlining problems, and identifying opportunities and solutions, effectiveness of the business function. This role will be responsible for requirements to be consistent with the business case and the long-term plans within the capability/service delivery area and also for leading user acceptance testing to ensure the solution is aligned to the business requirements, driving resolution of any potential defects where necessary. Position is accountable for developing, defining, and documenting business requirements that describe the business need and solution scope, and communicate them effectively to IT and business stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Participating in production support and enhancement activities and act as a liaison with business process owners to validate requirements for changes to processes
- Remaining up to date of technology trends, opportunities, compliance, and regulatory requirements within a defined capability/service delivery area
- Acting as a functional subject matter expert of the Customer to Cash, providing process expertise to others to understand the impact of system enhancements on the company’s processes and to understand how system functions and processes will generate the intended outcomes for business
- Managing and coordinating changes and unit and regression testing with integration partners
- Collaborating with other functional and technical teams on business needs, information, applications, and long term plans while helping to ensure integration with strategic plans
- Developing work instructions and job aids for end user training
- Managing business process mapping, process re-engineering and gap analysis and recommending opportunities for streamlining, consolidating and optimizing processes
- Writing functional specifications in partnership with E-Invoice suppliers, that can be used by solutions/systems engineers to support the creation of technical designs and delivery of business and technical requirements
- Coordinating user acceptance testing to ensure business requirements are satisfied and ensure proper UAT documentation is produced (based on use cases and test requirements)
- Providing project management support for small/medium size projects, being responsible for project planning and execution of work required, including issue management and status reporting
What are we looking for?
- BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Marketing, Information Systems Management, Computer Science or related field
- Job related experience for minimum 5 years
- Experience in SAP ERP SD Module, (FICO, Customer Master/Material Master a plus), JDE 9.1 and 9.2 and EDI, B2Bi and working knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- Experience in ERP system configuration, implementation projects and support and experience as an SAP consultant would be advantage
- Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Visio or similar applications (e.g., LucidChart, OmniGraffle, etc)
- Experience creating core BA deliverables (e.g., BRD, RTM, functional spec, test cases, etc)
- Fluent English
