Position overview:
The role is focused on managing day-to-day HR operations, supporting training initiatives, payroll activities, and the Operational Excellence People Pillar agenda within our plant.
Your key responsibilities include:
- To provide HR and IR support to the Plant HR Manager.
- Closely work with plant management team and other line mangers in order to create an effective, sustainable plant operation.
- To support each function in the achievement of their business objectives.
- To ensure the delivery of HR Services to employees within this population.
- Become champion for employee relations on the shop floor and first point of contact for employee grievances.
- To follow and maintain organization’s SOPs and safe working practices.
- Comply with all legal requirements related to environment and safety.
- Comply with Ball’s Integrated Management Systems (ISO9001 / ISO14001 / OHSAS18001) & SMETA.
- Employee relations and Industrial relations (IR) : Assist HR manager in negotiations with union for wages , benefits and working conditions for long term agreements.
- Ensure that organizations HR strategy is implemented effectively and that organization complies with all relevant regulations, labour laws and employment standards.
- Responsible for communicating and administering Employee Engagement programs.
- Monitor and responsible for Statutory compliance of various industrial laws including labour law.
- Security management : Legal compliance adherence, contract drafting, Strategizing and monitoring working of security men at plant.
- Labour Contractors related administration. Recommend, negotiate with labour contractors, discuss the terms of working, cost, statutory compliance.
- Supply of casual labour on need basis.
- Vehicle management: Responsible for administering employee transportation.
- Responsible for audit compliances and closing of NCs.
- Deal with all local bodies such as, Police, Local village bodies, local people issues etc..
- Coordination of Recruitment and Selection i.e. to say right from sourcing and screening of resumes to closing the position within the TAT.
- Assist in Performance Management coordination and up keep record.
- Taking care of computerized Time & attendance and Payroll.
- To coordinate and keep record up to date in relation to various Training.
- To ensure timely submission of MIS to HR Manager.
- Looking after all housekeeping of factory and ensure high standard of it.
- Looking after all AMC’s related to HR & Admin functions.
- Event management coordination.
- Ad hoc project work as required.
What are we looking for?
- Graduate in any discipline with post-graduation in HR and IR.
- 8+ years relevant work experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Strong track record in Industrial relations.
- Knowledge of HRMS (preferred SAP SuccessFactors)
- Good knowledge of English, Hindi & Marathi language.
- Ability to deal with unions effectively.
- Ability to quickly build relationships and credibility.
- Strong recruitment and L&D experience.
- Sound knowledge of labour laws and compliances.
- Should be very good in communications both written and verbal.
- Good interpersonal skills & should be able to work under pressure.
- Should have documentation and strong analytical skills.
- Good computer skills – ability to manage via computerized data.
- Comfortable in working with ambiguity – influencing without direct authority.
