Position overview:

 

To provide support to the Production Department to enhance the quality and productivity performances, and lead projects for new products / new technologies. This role is covering different process aspects with multiple interactions with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Tooling, and R&D Departments, while applying different Lean tool (problem solving, SMED, Value Stream mapping etc.). 

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • To lead and assist with a variety of ongoing and new projects from process improvements to capital installations

  • To evaluate, challenge and improve current processes, equipment and work methods

  • To assist with tooling design aspects 

  • To work on problem solving and root cause analyses concerning both processes and production issues

  • To liaise with Suppliers as required

  • To assist with Continuous Improvements initiatives and ensure training of the staff

  • To take into account all mandatory requirements of Environmental, Health and Safety Legislation

 

Experience and skills required:

 

  • Degree level education in Mechanical Engineering

  • Multiskilled/Hands on Engineer able to detect opportunities for improvement

  • Quick learner able to build strong relationship at all levels of organization

  • Strong computer skills, Solid Works desirable

  • Fluency in written and spoken English

  • Willingness  to occassionally travel internationally
