Primary Purpose of this Position:
The Sourcer works closely with Recruiter, TA Manager and the hiring manager to design and execute talent acquisition strategies relative to high volume and difficult to fill roles. The position is responsible for converting passive and active candidates into interested and qualified applicants for Ball’s most critical and hard-to-fill positions.
Essential Responsible Areas:
- Work to identify and convert active and passive pipelines candidate targets into engaged and active candidates through outreach and compelling conversations.
Planning for and conducting data-based meetings including intake, candidate debrief, etc. and making sourcing adjustments based on priorities and learnings. - Partners with Talent team to identify key roles that require shaping passive candidate pool, mostly roles that have smaller candidate pools; works closely with manager to get updated timelines on strategic talent moves to translate that into activation of passive candidates.
- Effectively screening candidates while piquing their interest in the role and the organization; ensures that candidates moved forward in the process to the TA Manager are likely interested and qualified.
- Providing subject matter expertise, proactive communication and rapid response to key stakeholders (e.g., TA Manager etc.) to demonstrate credibility, build influence and ensure the identification and screening of high quality talent.
- Helping the TA and hiring team keep on top of – and make use of – data-based, current talent-related market data and employment trends.
- Using creative and innovative methods to convert a wide variety of candidates, including diverse candidates, by understanding their drivers of choice and the employment value proposition of Ball.
- Managing the candidate experience through the hand-off to the TA Manager to ensure candidates are engaged and informed throughout the process.
- Identifying and acting upon opportunities for improving and expanding passive candidate sourcing and conversion results; provides regular feedback to the TA team or Mgr, Regional TA, where appropriate, regarding the quality of prospective candidate data provided.
What we are looking for:
- 1+ years sourcing experience.
- Experience developing and executing sourcing plans with measurable results.
- Experience building candidate pipelines for targeted roles.
- Experience engaging candidates and activating passive candidates.
- Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems and CRMs, various recruiting software systems and Microsoft Office suite of apps.
- Fluent English.
