Position overview:
As a Supply Chain Planner – Can Planning, you will play a key role in balancing capacity with demand, ensuring customer satisfaction, and driving efficiency across our EMEA supply chain network. You’ll work closely with Manufacturing, Sales, Engineering, Finance, and Customer Fulfilment teams to create optimised plans that support business strategy while controlling costs. You will resolve issues around finished goods, ensuring that customer demands can be satisfied whilst adhering to the overall business strategy.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Develop and maintain draft, monthly, budget, and strategic supply plans for cans across the EMEA region
- Align capacity and inventory planning with business needs, ensuring customer demands are met while optimising resources
- Collaborate with Regional Fulfilment Managers and Customer Fulfilment Directors to execute plans and ensure alignment with strategy
- Monitor forecasts for both manufacturing and sales, taking corrective actions where needed
- Support the Integrated Business Planning (IBP) process, contributing to regional planning improvements and cost-saving initiatives
- Drive process excellence by developing new planning processes, supporting technology implementation, and improving data management
- Manage KPIs for inventory, service levels, and production, ensuring targets are achieved and reported accurately
- Coordinate trial runs, supplier qualifications, and optimisation of planning routes
- Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve operational challenges and ensure alignment with the overall business strategy
- Recommending and monitoring and course correcting parameters for managing the region’s Can inventory, maintaining accuracy and ensuring adherence within the plants
- Resolve issues around Cans finished goods inventories and plans, ensuring that customer demands can be satisfied whilst adhering to the overall business strategy
What are we looking for?
- Degree-level education, preferably in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related field
- Proven background in complex multinational, multi-site supply chain environments
- Experience with Just-in-Time production and supply chain planning processes
- Familiarity with SAP and IBP processes
- Strong analytical and numeracy skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to collaborate across all levels of the business
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritise workload, and meet tight deadlines
- Knowledge of LEAN techniques and business improvement methodologies
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Financial awareness and good negotiation skills
- Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus
