Position overview:

 

The purpose of the Project Coordinator is to coordinate small-to-medium scale projects using standard project management methodology and processes.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Liaise with business stakeholders (internal customers) to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives that align with organizational goals. 
  • Responsible for project planning and execution of work required, including issue management, project communications and status reporting.
  • Coordinate internal and external resources (project and cross functional resources), ensuring projects remain within scope, schedule and defined budgets. 
  • Help prepare project budgets.
  • Analyze risks and opportunities and provide solutions where applicable.
  • Report project outcomes and/or risks to the appropriate management channels as needed — escalating issues as necessary.
  • Ensure all parts of an assigned project are processed, organized, and progressing according to predetermined timelines and deliverable dates. 
  • Build and maintain an in depth knowledge of the processes, systems, and data in a defined capability/service delivery area.
  • Coordinate user acceptance testing to ensure business requirements are satisfied and ensure proper UAT documentation is produced (based on use cases and test requirements). 
  • Ensure proper training, transition, and cutover plans are developed and executed to ensure proper user adoption and minimize business disruption.
  • Juggle multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
     

Experience required:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field of study, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience 
  • 2+ years’ work experience in project management, from conception to delivery   
  • Work experience in a global, cross-functional environment
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Strong client-facing and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines
  • Ability to work in global, multinational and remote teams in a matrix organization
  • Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite including Visio or similar applications  (e.g., LucidChart, OmniGraffle, etc)    
  • Working knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall) and activities/ deliverables(e.g., work planning, status reporting, issue management)
  • High-level understanding of applications used in the organization's industry.
  • Business process knowledge is desirable.
