Position overview:

 

As the Data Analyst, Procurement (EMEA), you’re a key member of Ball’s Procurement team, reporting to the Director of Indirect and Capital Procurement.

You will contribute to the success of Ball by gathering, structuring, and interpreting complex data to support strategic sourcing and decision-making. Your insights will help enhance operational efficiency, data quality, and digital transformation within the Procurement function.

You will develop automated processes, build data models and dashboards, and translate findings into clear, actionable recommendations that drive business impact across the organisation. 

 

Your key responsibilities include:

 

  • Developing and maintaining data pipelines to deliver accurate and reliable information to the global Procurement team.
  • Building high-performance SQL queries and managing data integration across systems such as SAP, Coupa, and JDE.
  • Designing interactive data visualizations and dashboards in Power BI, Qlik Sense, and Excel, using strong data storytelling skills.
  • Writing advanced DAX formulas and developing automation solutions using Python and Power Automate.
  • Managing and continuously improving Procurement’s data architecture and database performance.
  • Applying machine learning techniques to uncover insights, predict trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Leading the development of Power Apps to optimize Procurement processes and ensure seamless integration with internal systems.
  • Acting as SharePoint Manager for the Procurement team, ensuring proper data governance, organization, and access control.
  • Supporting and training Procurement colleagues in data tools, reporting standards, and AI best practices.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams (Finance, Supply Chain, IT) to ensure alignment of Procurement data with business goals.

 

 

What are we looking for?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sourcing, Supply Chain Management, Finance, IT, Engineering, or Data Analytics
  • At least 4 years of experience in data analysis, and 2+ years in process automation or application development
  • Advanced knowledge of Power Platform tools (Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps)
  • Strong command of Python and SQL for analysis, automation, and integration
  • Experience working with ERP data (SAP, Coupa, JDE) and building reports based on complex data structures
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights
  • Clear communication skills and ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences
  • Fluency in English (other European languages are an advantage)
  • Organized, proactive, and self-motivated team player with a strong ownership mindset
