Position overview:

 

As the Plant Controller you are accountable for management reporting and financial forecasting for plant business manufacturing operations. Your role forms part of the local senior management team and will contribute towards the development and implementation of local strategy, by providing strong financial business partnering to the Operations team and driving ongoing cost efficiency.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

• Prepares, analyzes and controls the entire budget and forecast, which includes segments of operations and special products in communication with all departments. This includes:

• Preparation and communication of official and auxiliary files, presentations, organization of meetings and communication of the finally defined budget to headquarters.

• Budgeting, analysis and corrections related to stocks of finished products, metals and all other direct materials in the form of calculations of expected costs, price and quantity variances.

• Calculation and control of operational key performance indicators (KPI) from the aspect of scart, weight of cans, modification of production specifications of DG/LG, efficiency, consumption of materials that go into direct production of cans according to each specification.

• Preparation and analysis of fixed costs of each individual department of operations and special products.

• Calculates the standard cost price for special products and communicates the standard to Central Controlling with a continuous analysis of deviations

• Calculates and controls intercompany sales prices of all exports; Performs quarterly analysis and adjustment of the price of metal, all other costs and income in relation to the standard intercompany price of the given year;

• Conducts month closing process activities through calculations and corrective postings as well as analysis and control of other postings by other departments. Confirms the monthly result, controls balance transactions; Preparation of work reports related to the closing of the month.

• Preparation of reports to central management on a monthly, quarterly and annual level regarding the results achieved in various aspects of business, through centrally defined reports, analyzes and explains deviations

• Performs control, monitoring and analysis of stocks of finished products, metals, and other direct materials in terms of quantity and value during the month and year. In accordance with the need, takes corrective actions

• Performs expenditure control in accordance with US GAAP standards, budget plan and chart of accounts structure, communicates corrections and works on continuous improvement of the system

• Participates in the planning process of CAPEX projects, continuously controls and analyzes them. Conducts CAPEX meetings and reports project statuses to headquarters

• Reports to local management on business segments and achieved results

• Cooperates with external consultants in the preparation of transfer pricing studies

• Cooperates with internal and external auditors, as well as other consultants as needed

• Continuously implements internal business controls, with compliance with SOX requirements. Prepares reviews for SOX controls related to part of controlling activities and business as needed.

• Provides business support within the framework of continuous cooperation with the central IT sector for improved software solutions and solving technical problems and changes. Communicates and controls changes related to schematic changes in the accounting system, structure of cost centers, business areas, internal orders for the purpose of accurate financial analysis)

• Provides support to all departments within the plant and provides guidance to better understand the financial management process

• Participates in projects related to continuous improvement of processes and Lean standards

• Actively participates in management meetings

• Prepares weekly reports and calculations in accordance with management needs, creates presentations for management on a monthly and ad hoc basis

• Coordinates central initiatives related to changes in reporting and processes in order to align with local business and reporting models.

 

What are we looking for?

Degree of professional education: VII

Education: economic, general;

Work experience: at least 5 years in the same or similar jobs;

Special requirements: Fluency in English, advanced knowledge of MS Office and SAP, knowledge of tax and accounting regulations and standards
