Position overview: 

The Reprographics Operator is responsible for the accurate reproduction, preparation, and quality control of customer artwork files for dry offset can printing process. The role supports the EMEA reprographics prepress studio by ensuring that all graphic files meet internal specifications, print standards, and customer requirements, enabling efficient, high-quality, and consistent production across regions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Perform feasibility and preflight checks on incoming “easy” design orders.
• Reproduce customer artwork files for production using approved graphics software and workflows (Adobe and Esko).
• Prepare complete, production-ready graphics file packages with optimal spot color separations, trapping, and gapping for dry offset printing.
• Ensure all artworks adhere to internal graphics guidelines, Ball print specifications, and Graphics Administration briefs.
• Perform consistent and high-quality quality control (QC) on own work and the work of others across all stages of the graphics workflow
• Ensure high-quality outputs and quality checks of files supplied by customer agencies.
• Ensure file quality across all proofing stages (production, wet proofing, and digital proofing).
• Register and invoice all tasks in Esmart (bespoke artwork management system).
• Provide operational and day-to-day support to the EMEA reprographics studio.

What are we looking for?

• University degree in Graphics Technology, Graphic Design, or a related graphics-oriented field. Alternatively, relevant professional experience in printing, packaging, prepress, production, or design may be considered
• Ability to develop and reproduce customer graphic artworks for dry offset printing process.
• Strong prepress skills, including spot color separation optimization, trapping, and gapping.
• Proficient use of graphics software and workflows (Adobe and/or Esko).
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality standards.
• Effective communication skills to coordinate approvals, deadlines, and quality checks.
• Ability to work independently on projects while contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Strong organizational and task management skills.
