Position overview:

 

 

This role will lead all customer marketing efforts for Ball PHC. Main responsibility is to support the creation of an integrated marketing plan that is consistent with the organization’s overall long term objectives and lead its execution. Key tasks include customer marketing activations, marketing communications and key industry events.

 

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Leverage insights and market data to develop comprehensive category/customer/channel targeting plans that identifies key focus or opportunity areas to feed into the RSM process and drive Ball share and volume growth.
  • Support build of PTW strategies for regional accounts w/in the categories.
  • Understand customers' pricing and product portfolio in market and report to organization
  • Support customer engagements, innovation days, joint business plans, and RFPs for key opportunities (as defined by segmentation).  Support will include tools for sales to leverage with customers, as well as ideation and message development based in the value proposition.
  • Develop and own customer value proposition. Support commercial with translation of ball value proposition in customer sales stories and other messaging as needed. 
  • Coordinate developing and tracking clear KPIs behind value proposition and each of the involved stakeholders
  • Support commercial team and R&D team with the innovation process, processes all the intake forms, presents them at the innovation meetings and ensures the innovation funnel and processes are followed through.
  • Builds relationships with key customer brand/marketing stakeholders in conjunction w/ goals and priorities agreed in JBP and Account Profile
  • Develops annual marketing plan (including tactics like market activations, trade shows, etc.) and budget. (Note:  re trade shows, regional activation shows are approved by regional president, enterprise activations approved by CGO)
  • Customer Market Activations: Can include support for new product launches, mass messaging to support important news, etc.
  • Trade show execution:  Responsible for developing messaging, narrative, graphics, etc..  Work with Comms to bring execution to life
  • Assist Comms in Ball Brand Building and developing communication strategy (inc. message house, Our Purpose Our Promise, etc.) to ensure alignment with value prop and strategic priorities. 
  • Applies for different awards and prepares all the documentation to support the process.
  • Collaborate with insights to build appropriate learning plan and ongoing research questions, conduct market research, and analyze the info to identify market trends and customer preferences
  • Identify insights from insights team work and incorporate into appropriate messaging or innovation ideas

 

 

What are we looking for?

 

  • Job related experience for 8+ years in project marketing
  • Knowledge of key elements of marketing campaigns, principles and practices
  • Experience in partnership and brand marketing
  • Experience strategizing with executive-level teams
  • B2B sales and marketing experience
  • Previous role held within manufacturing and/or FMCG industry desirable
  • Highly innovative and ambitious self-starter with strong business acumen
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and be very flexible in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Fluent English speaker
