Position Overview:
As a Finance Supervisor, you will be responsible for financial forecasting, analysis, and data validation across key cost areas. This is a global role within the Finance organization, supporting Procurement and Supply Chain Execution.The role focuses on procurement-related financial activities, including coordination with suppliers to ensure accurate payments, adjustments, and reconciliations. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Finance.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for metal-related activities, in coordination with cross-functional teams, to achieve business objectives and optimize financial performance.
- Perform data reconciliations and detailed data analysis to ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
- Support monthly accounting close process, including updating accruals and supplier reconciliations.
- Analyze monthly financial results and provide detailed explanations of performance vs plan.
- Review supplier contracts and stay up to date on pricing and terms for key suppliers.
- Collaborate with IT to develop improvements to systems, automate work flows and reports and drive efficiency and data integrity throughout the process.
- Perform ad hoc analysis, including supporting Procurement with data and analysis requests.
- Participate in metal-related audits, financial reporting, and other ad-hoc financial projects, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders as needed.
What are we looking for?
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience
- Ability to thrive in a matrixed environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
- Strong financial modelling, strong excel spreadsheets, Word documents, JDE Enterprise One, and Essbase, preferred
- Ability to make detailed presentations of financial analysis, including on projects and a variety of business problems to executive management
- Knowledge of relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls related to metal operations.
