Position Overview:

As a Finance Supervisor you will be responsible for executing the financial forecasting, analysis, and data validation processes for the Beverage Packaging North and Central America’s largest cost area, metal. This role will support the management of the financial aspects of metal-related operations and report directly to the Metal Finance Leader. This role will also be responsible for coordination with metal suppliers to ensure that payments are accurate and we are aligned on all adjustments and reconciliations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and accounting.

Key responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement financial plans, budgets, and forecasts for metal-related activities, in coordination with cross-functional teams, to achieve business objectives and optimize financial performance.
• Perform financial analysis and reporting of metal-related financial data, providing insights, recommendations, and risk assessments to leadership for informed decision-making.
• Lead and manage a high performing finance team.
• Perform data reconciliations and detailed data analysis to ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
• Support monthly accounting close process, including updating accruals and supplier reconciliations.
• Analyze monthly financial results and provide detailed explanations of performance vs plan.
• Collaborate with key internal stakeholders on metal mix and metal inventory management.
• Review supplier contracts and stay up to date on pricing and terms for key suppliers.
• Collaborate with IT to develop improvements to systems, automate work flows and reports and drive efficiency and data integrity throughout the process.
• Maintain accurate data in the Metal Cube by working with IT, finance, and accounting and utilize the tool for reporting and analysis.
• Perform ad hoc analysis, including supporting Procurement with data and analysis requests.
• Participate in metal-related audits, financial reporting, and other ad-hoc financial projects, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders as needed.

What are we looking for?

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting. CPA or CMA certification is preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, preferably with a focus on metal-related industries.
• Ability to thrive in a matrixed environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide meaningful insights and recommendations.
• Strong financial modelling, strong excel spreadsheets, Word documents, JDE Enterprise One, and Essbase, preferred
• Ability to make detailed presentations of financial analysis, including on projects and a variety of business problems to executive management
• Knowledge of relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal controls related to metal operations.
