Position Overview

 

As the Business Inclusion & Diversity (BI&D) Specialist, you’re a key member of the Global BI&D Team, reporting to the [INSERT LINE MANAGER’S JOB TITLE]. You will contribute to Ball’s success by delivering expert, tailored support to our global manufacturing sites, helping leaders use BI&D tools effectively, challenging constructively with data-driven insights, and driving actions that build a more diverse and inclusive workforce across all locations.

 

Your Key Responsibilities Include

 

  • Provide expert BI&D support to all global manufacturing sites and functions, adapting your approach to the specific needs of each plant or team.
  • Create and deliver BI&D data insights and presentations in the required formats and cadence for forums, leadership meetings and project reporting.
  • Partner with the People Analytics Team to design and continuously improve BI&D tools that help the business set aspirations, track progress and take meaningful action.
  • Use data and persuasive communication to reinforce the BI&D business case with leadership teams, enabling evidence-based decision-making.
  • Act as a key liaison for plants on all BI&D surveys, reporting and programme delivery.
  • Support leadership at plant level in identifying local opportunities to diversify talent using workforce and regional labour market insights.
  • Work closely with Talent Acquisition and the plant network to identify critical roles that need targeted BI&D intervention based on historical and external data.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing and help embed best BI&D practices across plants, divisions and regions.
  • Collaborate with divisional Communications teams to ensure BI&D remains a strong and visible business priority.
  • Conduct tailored research to understand local workforce diversity opportunities and create benchmarks to support action planning.
  • Provide specialist, bespoke BI&D consultancy to the business on an ad hoc basis.

 

 

What Are We Looking For? 

 

  • Experience working with data or workforce information systems, including drawing clear, actionable insights for different audiences.
  • Project management skills, with experience using structured tools or methodologies.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills, able to adapt your style across diverse cultural and linguistic environments.
  • Ability to present data persuasively, using evidence to influence and challenge constructively at all levels.
  • Demonstrated commitment to diversity, inclusion and social justice, with the ability to inspire others.
  • University degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Affairs, Diversity & Inclusion, IT/Data Management, Human Resources or equivalent experience.
  • Willingness to travel and work across different global environments.
