Position overview:

 

As the Commercial Operations & Demand Planning Analyst , you’re a key member of the Commercial Operations team, reporting to the Director, Commercial Operations.

You will contribute to the success of Ball by supporting the efficient operation of all demand planning tools and processes across the EMEA region. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining accurate data, preparing forecasts, and providing analysis that enables informed business decisions and smooth collaboration between Sales, IT, and the wider Commercial teams.

You’ll also support the development and continuous improvement of forecasting tools and systems, helping to strengthen the integrated business planning process and ensure that demand and supply are aligned with business goals.

 

Your key responsibilities include:

 

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date data in demand planning tools and Excel trackers.
  • Supporting the in-year demand cycle updates and creation of demand decks, capturing all risks and opportunities and ensuring timely communication to stakeholders.
  • Assisting in the preparation of long-range plans in line with the IBP calendar, providing detailed analysis and comparisons with previous forecasts.
  • Monitoring forecasts, identifying variances, and taking corrective actions in collaboration with the Sales and IBP teams.
  • Maintaining weekly demand tracking reports and updating regional summaries for communication to key business partners.
  • Supporting KPI management and reporting, highlighting any outliers and proposing improvement actions.
  • Managing demand-related master data and assisting with data tasks required for planning accuracy.
  • Providing ad-hoc analysis and insights to support business decisions and customer service excellence.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with IT, Sales, Finance, and Marketing to ensure alignment of planning activities and systems.
  • Contributing to the implementation of new demand and CRM tools as part of Ball’s ongoing digital transformation.

 

What are we looking for?

 

  • University degree in Economics, Logistics, Management, Organisational Science, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analysis.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills with great attention to detail.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; experience with databases and planning tools is an advantage.
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage large volumes of data and meet strict deadlines.
  • Confident communicator with strong influencing and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Team player with a collaborative mindset and the ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment.
  • Experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken); additional languages are an advantage.
