Position Overview:


The IBP regional lead position has been established to coordinate the IBP functions across the region, creating a conduit for communication back to the central teams with overall responsibility for logistics, customer fulfilment, graphics and planning. In addition the role is expected to build strong, cohesive working relationships with other functional leads within the region. Developing a strategy to deliver results in line with the sector KPI targets, covering a broad range of metrics including  customer experience, cost control, people development and inventory management .


Key responsibilities include:


  • Optimizing the efficiency and effectiveness with which IBP processes are executed
  • Managing regional logistics process and performance in line with operating parameters set by central logistics teams
  • Ensuring graphics process and performance in line with operating parameters set by central graphics teams Managing the regional Can & End Inventory and maintaining accuracy in accordance with the parameters set by the Central Planning team.
  • Regional production and call-off planning and the management of variations to plans
  • Management of metal material planning working within guidelines set by the global supply chain team
  • Management of coil inventory, ensuring the regional teams do not exceed inventory targets, whilst maintaining 100% supply profiles
  • Escalation of key customer issues to the relevant account directors
  • Achieving IBP  KPIs relating to customer satisfaction and order execution
  • Provide leadership and development to direct reports through structured performance management and personal development planning
  • Contributing to thought leadership and new initiatives for IBP alongside the IBP management team
  • Working alongside the commercial team to contribute to key customer relationships and long-term relationship development

Customer Satisfaction

  • Responsibility for overall customer fulfilment within the region; establishing and monitoring aligned KPIs and process for successful fulfilment of customer orders
  • Working closely with Key Account Directors and providing relationship contribution where required
  • Ensuring fulfilment information is communicated within the commercial function
  • Minimising customer returns and delivery arrears
  • Working with all other regional Customer Fulfilment Managers to drive overall customer satisfaction
  • Collaborate with Central Planning to develop and optimise the customer ship to/filling location detailed plan


  • Creating the monthly and weekly planning schedules from the sales forecasts
  • Planning and co-ordinating the call-off of labels
  • Raising issues with fulfilling of orders with the commercial function
  • Liaising with Planning and Operations on the capacity to fulfil production orders and identifying alternative solutions where there is under-capacity


Order Management (including warehousing and logistics)

  • Ensuring accuracy of order timelines and achieving the agreed high level of customer satisfaction in the area of order fulfilment in an efficient and cost effective manner
  • Monitoring and optimising freight, warehousing and packaging costs both within and between regions / sectors. Understanding any variances to budget / forecast, finding and implementing mitigation plans where necessary using One Ball principles.
  • Minimising orders that fail to deliver approved returns


Budget and Forecasting

  • Monitoring and reporting on the budget for IBP
  • Identifying areas for improved cost efficiency within IBP
  • Maintaining the IBP budget and escalating concerns where appropriate

Team Leadership

  • Establishing and monitoring KPIs for IBP Managers
  • Ensuring clear communication and knowledge-sharing between regional IBP teams and managers


Risk Management

  • Overall responsibility for identifying and managing risks related to time, cost and quality of customer fulfilment within the region

Process Ownership & Improvement

  • Own and drive continuous improvement in the key order fulfilment processes

Experience Required

  • Previous experience leading a sales, planning, or customer-oriented global (or regional) team
  • Qualification in an Engineering or Business discipline
  • Working with dispersed teams and customers across multiple locations and cultures/languages
  • Customer relationship management and ability to build long-term customer relationships
  • Strong communication skills
  • Understanding of manufacturing processes and the implication for customer relationship management
  • Comprehensive understand of Sales & Operations Planning (SIOP)
  • English language


  • Understanding of the can and end manufacturing process
  • Supply Chain thinking, Lean & Agile Supply Chain improvement strategies
