Position Overview: 

 

The Pricing and Contracts Leader business partners with regional and global key account sales leads to jointly develop pricing and wider commercial offer strategies for customer contract negotiations. Cross-functional interaction with all areas of the business is required to ensure all aspects are considered in the development of commercial proposals on global key accounts and regional customers. The role is also responsible for administrating and updating analysis models used by the pricing and contract team.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Business partnering with sales directors and managers to be jointly responsible for developing pricing and wider commercial offer strategies for use by sales in customer contract negotiations. Use commercial acumen, market pricing / industry knowledge and informed conclusions from financial and competitive analysis for determination of strategies and pricing proposals.
  • Responsible for considering oversight of pricing trends and compliance requirements across the region and considering the impact on pricing and commercial agreements with the customers for which the role is responsible. To ensure customer contract include key commercial terms to protect Ball’s risk and margin from the contract in conjunction with the legal team.  To include ensuring that responsible customer pricing and customer bids are compliant with MFN clauses.
  • Develop AOP and financial forecast pricing for responsible accounts.
  • Administrate and data updates to existing and new models used by the pricing and contracts team to generate analysis to input to commercial strategies and customer contract negotiations.
  • Administration of metal pricing agreements, settlements and hedging with responsible customers.
  • Responsible for coordinating strategic commercial projects within the region.  Support regional commercial team develop execution plans for strategic project and facilitate regular reviews. 
  • Consolidating regional volume report on a monthly basis.  Also, help the country commercial team with longer team volumes forecasting.
  • Coordinate regional sustainability projections working with cross functional teams.  Participate in global/regional sustainability meetings and ensure appropriate cascading with the regional sustainability, marketing teams.  


Experience and Skills required:

 

  • Essential - Business degree or equivalent preferrably in Finances
  • Experience within a complex FMCG or manufacturing B2B environment,
