Position overview: 

The Analyst, Finance Strategy & Profitability EMEA will sit within the Strategic arm of the FP&A team. This role will be responsible for supporting with complex financial modelling to compliment the articulation of how we drive strategic profitable growth within the context of our broader strategic financial plans. Also, the role is focussed on supporting with driving forward our profitability data, methodology and process architecture so that we can empower our Commercial and Pricing teams with timely and insightful information to profitably grow the business.

Key responsibilities include: 

•    Supporting with upcoming projects (such as local currency profitability modelling, enable delivery of EVA reporting at a Regional and Customer level, increase cadence of profitability reporting from quarterly to monthly, etc)

•    Responsible for data capture and churn of all in-year profitability

•    Going beyond a process-driven approach, understanding the numbers, assumptions, and their impact on customer and regional profitability

•    Developing an understanding of the underlying revenue/cost base and drivers

•    Preparing the in-year quarterly profitability output

•    Ensuring an understanding of the "why" behind the data, not just the "what." Output should include commentary, as well as numerical and graphical backup.

What are we looking for? 

•    A bachelor's degree in finance/commercial or related

•    Studying towards further accounting qualification

•    Expert in Microsoft Excel - practical experience of working with pivot tables, complex formulas and some knowledge of power query would be beneficial

•    Expert in structuring, manipulating, managing, integrating, analysing and presenting large volumes of data and complex, changeable data sets

•    Very analytical mind-set and strong numeracy skills 

•    Fluent in written and spoken English
