Position overview:

The role is responsible for the financial planning, analysis and reporting of Ball Beverage Packaging EMEA's (BPEMEA) SG&A costs.

 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist the SG&A Controller in preparation of annual budget and quarterly forecasts.
  • Assist the  SG&A Controller in the preparation and review of monthly regional SG&A reporting, with some responsibility for individual cost centres.
  • Maintaining an on-going relationship with departmental budget holders to assist them in controlling their costs and with HR to ensure alignment with headcount reporting.
  • Support the SG&A Controller in delivering SG&A Reporting to Executive management.
  • Support the preparation of SG&A forecasts and budget for all non-plant locations in Europe, critically challenging assumptions and areas of discretionary spend.
  • Actively monitor balance sheet positions relevant to SG&A costs and perform periodic BS reconciliations for certain accounts.
  • Support regional finance teams with reporting queries and ensure consistent approach to SG&A reporting across the sector with particular focus on intercompany transactions.
  • Assist it maintaining and developing departmental cost centre structure in line with the global function and sub function structure.
     

What are we looking for?

  • BA/BSc or equivalent.
  • Experience of cost analysis and monitoring.
  • Experience of working with cost centre managers from a non-finance background.
  • Management  accounting  skills.
  • Strong computer skills (especially Excel).
  • Knowledge of SAP is a plus.
  • Fluent English.
