Position overview:

 

The essential purpose of the function is to support supply and production planning activities, ensuring timely material availability, effective inventory management and fulfillment of customer demand across domestic and international markets. The role is responsible for production scheduling, materials planning and inventory control, while coordinating with internal and external stakeholders to support efficient supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Working closely with sales teams to support forecast accuracy and ensure customer demand is fulfilled.
  • Creating and maintaining supply and production plans in alignment with central planning teams and agreed production targets.
  • Coordinating metal and ends supply planning activities and communicating plans with relevant stakeholders.
  • Creating production schedules while considering operational constraints such as maintenance activities, holidays and production capacity.
  • Raising and managing purchase orders through the MRP system to ensure timely material availability.
  • Expediting and rescheduling purchase orders in line with production planning requirements.
  • Monitoring finished goods, metal and ends stock levels, identifying risks and communicating issues to relevant stakeholders.
  • Supporting inventory control and replenishment activities to maintain optimal stock levels across the supply chain.
  • Using SAP as the primary planning and reporting tool and maintaining accurate planning data.
  • Preparing regular planning, inventory and variance reports and supporting data analysis activities.
  • Monitoring delivery timelines and coordinating with logistics teams to ensure smooth shipment execution.
  • Supporting phase-in and phase-out planning activities for new materials and products.

 

What are we looking for?

 

  • University degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–4 years of experience in planning, procurement or supply chain operations within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience working with MRP systems is essential, while SAP experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, planning and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
  • Good IT and reporting skills, including experience with analytical reporting and planning tools.
  • APICS CSCP certification would be considered an advantage.
