JOB SUMMARY
The main duties will be all Mechanical Engineering aspects of the plant, including but not limited to the Implementation and supervision of the preventive maintenance plan, responsibility for the mechanical maintenance troubleshooting to raise the performance of equipment and controlling the rates of failures, and monitoring the spare parts management within the estimated budget.
KEY ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
- Comply with all legal requirements related to environmental, health and safety.
- Maintain the equipment in such a condition that quality standards are obtained through working with other concerned departments to develop & execute appropriate Quality Assurance practices.
- Follow and maintain the organization’s SOPs and safe working practices.
- Monitor and follow up on the implementation of plans and programs of maintenance and make the necessary adjustments.
- Working on diagnosis and analysis of the causes of breakdowns of equipment, propose appropriate solutions, and raise the necessary reports to direct manager.
- Ensuring the maximum efficiency from all equipment and services by means of corrective, preventative, predictive, and proactive maintenance, including responding to equipment faults.
- Development of autonomous maintenance by upscaling operators' mechanical knowledge and know-how.
- carrying out routine scheduled maintenance work and responding to equipment faults.
- Maintain an inventory of mechanical spare parts used in the plant review and modify the spare parts stock levels to ensure spare parts availability and continuous follow-up on store balance.
- Technically inspect/accept newly received spare parts.
- Following up on maintenance expenses on a daily basis to keep it under control.
- Follows and oversees the maintenance contracts for equipment inside the plant and creates action plans for periodic reports and observations.
- Issue contractors' permits to work and follow up on their performance & onsite activities progress, ensuring quality & conformity to specifications and regulations.
- Lead assigned projects and submit reports on the progress of execution.
- Lead Communications with OEM and other suppliers onsite/remotely for all available machinery.
- Follow up on daily energy consumption to achieve targeted figures.
- Oversees the registration of the database for machines, equipment, and uses it for the planning of maintenance work.
- Prepare and submit the proper RCA for BD according to the company's global maintenance procedures.
- Plan, coordinate, and follow up on the participation of the maintenance department. in the installation of new equipment.
- Achieve and analyze maintenance key performance indicators and issue periodic follow-up reports.
- Raising team skills by internal technical training and complying with the associated skill matrices
- Identify training programs to rectify the performance problems.
- Local manufacturing and reverse engineering/ designing of different spare or obsolete parts and long lead time parts.
- Training for the production team for Executions of SOPs, JBSs and Troubleshooting guides.
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED
- BSc Degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 5+ years relevant experience with sound knowledge of Maintenance/ Engineering
- Good computer skills – ability to manage via computerized data.
- Hands on knowledge of AutoCAD, can modify mechanical drawings.
- Good coordination skills and follow-up skills.
- Experience in high-speed, high-volume process industry.
- Understand the tools of problem-solving.
- Good understanding of modern lean manufacturing techniques - SMED, Kaizen 5S, Structured Problem Solving, TPM, Six Sigma etc.
- Can organize team meetings and deliver the KPI and targets required.
