JOB SUMMARY

•             Support / Facilitate EHS Activities/Programs in all areas of business

•             Support Contractor Management

•             Support in Manpower Training

•             EHS score card – Safety KPI

 

KEY ACTIVITIES / RESPONSIBILITIES

•             Inspections & Auditing: Conduct regular site walkthroughs and audits to identify risks and ensure compliance with Ball standards and legal requirements.

•             Training & Mentorship: Support in developing and delivering safety orientation for new hires and ongoing "toolbox talks" for existing staff on topics like PPE, fall protection, and machinery safety. Also to support in the quarterly safety downs.

•             Incident Investigation: Follow up on Hazard identification and BBS reporting. Help in Near misses and incidents investigations. Follow up on the implementation of corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

•             Policy Development: Assist in creating and updating Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Emergency Action Plans.

•             Equipment Oversight: Ensure all safety equipment, fire extinguishers, and first aid kits are properly maintained and inspected.

•             Compliance Reporting: Maintain meticulous records of safety logs, injury reports, and training certifications.

•             Plan and implement EHS programs as per Ball standards (BOE)

•             Follow up on housekeeping standard performance, and report any noncompliance

•             Help in reporting site KPIs, analyses trends and progress.

 

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

•             BSc. Degree in relevant filed

•             Certification in Safety Management is preferable

•             NEBOSH / AIOSH Certificate is preferable

 

PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

•             3 to 5 years relevant experience with sound knowledge EHS activities 

 

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES REQUIRED

1.           Ability to priorities workload based upon the plant requirements and objectives.

2.           Good Coordination skill and follow-up skill

3.           Accident investigation and corrective actions

4.           Successful track record in team working / attention to details / Analytical thinking.

5.           Good computer skills – ability to manage via computerized data

 

LANGUAGES REQUIRED

English and Arabic
