<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The Operations Strategic Support Unit plays a fundamental role in enabling efficient business and program execution – from technologies and investments to supply chain, manufacturing and test operations, facilities management, and information technology services.

 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">The Ball Aerospace Internship Program is a 10-week summer program that provides interns with practical experience working on relevant projects while working with designated mentors; access to state-of-the-art equipment; a competitive wage; relocation reimbursement; in-house training; group activities; possible future employment and the ability to participate in the Ball Aerospace Remote Sensing Team (BIRST) program to build and launch a rocket or high-altitude balloon.  At the conclusion of your internship, you will be required to prepare and deliver a formal presentation of your project work to your respective department.

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">What You’ll Do:

 

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Under immediate direction of ITS Project Management Leadership, assist and support ITS in prioritization and execution of projects. 
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Utilize Microsoft Office products.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Perform related duties in support of project efforts in areas of project prioritization.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Provide support for project meetings (schedule project meetings, assist with project documentation, document meeting minutes, and project action/task items as appropriate).
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Create/analyze process documentation to increase efficiency.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Supports project prioritization methodology including interviewing for details.  Organize and report on requests.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Create and maintains files, draft internal correspondence, and perform general and/or clerical duties as assigned.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company.  Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Perform other duties as necessary.

 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">What You’ll Need:

 

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Must have completed your sophomore or junior year and be enrolled in a degree program for the fall of 2021. We will also accept students enrolled in a post graduate program.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Pursing a degree program in Information Technology, Computer Science, Project Management, Business or a related field is preferred.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Experience or training in Project Management is preferred.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Have a conceptual understanding of Information Technology
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Strong computer knowledge and organizational skills.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint).
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Solid communication skills and ability to lead meetings and speak in front of groups.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Willingness to work in a team environment and the ability to work independently as needed.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Detail-oriented, hardworking, positive and enthusiastic.

 

<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Working Conditions:

 

  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Work is performed in an office environment.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required
