The Systems Engineering Solutions Strategic Business Unit provides advanced systems engineering and technology applications for intelligence and information enterprises. These applications and solutions deliver enterprise data management, data analytics, modeling and simulation, and technology assessment capabilities that are used to create products that offer actionable information in support of warfighters and decision makers.



Intelligence Analyst II- Jr. Simulator Operator


What You’ll Do:

  • Conduct source intelligence research and analysis to support projects and operations for customers in the US intelligence community.
  • Use specific media forms (full motion video, imagery) to analyze data to solve military and intelligence problems using both near real time and forensics techniques.
  • Research current and emerging threats recognize links and relationships between threat entities.
  • Provide analytical support for intelligence analysis of all-source information (or an application-specified intelligence discipline) to produce intelligence products and make intelligence assessments in accordance with defined requirements.
  • Update and maintain intelligence databases.
  • Contribute to the completion of tasks related to Planning, Collection, Processing, Analysis and Production, Dissemination, and Application.
  • Collaborate with customers at all levels within the Intelligence customer base.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with ability to conduct ad-hoc analysis and assessments.
  • Support may be provided in-plant or at the customer site.
  • May require 24/7 operations, extended work weeks, travel, including foreign travel.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company.  Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.


What You’ll Need:

  • High school diploma plus 5 or more years related experience.
  • Each higher-level related degree, i.e. Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience.  Two years of related experience may be substituted for each year of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Possess a minimum of 4.5 years of experience flight mission planning and utilizing mission planning systems for military weapon systems within the last two years. Experience with LO mission planning is desirable, but not required.
  • Possess 4.5 years of experience with Air defense Systems, Electronic War-fare and other national, international and theater-level threat system capabilities, developments and initiatives as they pertain to mission planning.
  • Possess a minimum of 18 months of experience with AutoCAD and Adobe Photoshop within the last 12 months. (Highly Desirable)


Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in-plant or at the customer site.
  • Travel may be required, including foreign travel.
  • Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.

Future Clearance Required:

A current DoD clearance and/or SCI access with Polygraph is not required to be eligible for this position, however applicant must be willing and eligible for submission within 60-90 days after an offer is accepted and must be able to maintain the applicable clearance/access.  By applying to this position, you are agreeing to complete a National Security Clearance Pre-Screen Questionnaire to evaluate your general ability to obtain the required security clearance or government customer access associated with this position.


Relocation for this position is not available.


Compensation & Benefits

  • HIRING SALARY RANGE: $87,000 - $117,500 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
