<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Technician IV - Metrology


<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif"> What You’ll Do:


  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Calibrate, repair and maintain electrical, physical, and dimensional M&TE (Measuring and Test Equipment).
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Document calibration and repair activities in accordance with established procedures.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Write and review calibration procedures.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Interface with internal customers and outside vendors.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Operate company owned vehicles as required.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company.  Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Perform other duties as necessary.


<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">What You’ll Need:


  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">High School diploma or equivalent plus 8 or more years of related experience, or a related 2-year technical degree and 6 or more years of related experience.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor’s or Master’s, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Military PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory) training is desired.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Experience in at least three of the following areas of calibration:  electrical, pressure, flow, force, temperature, humidity, vibration, torque, dimensional.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">A good working knowledge of electrical, physical, and dimensional standards used in calibration.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Familiar with calibration system requirements (ANSI Z540, ISO 17025).
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">A good working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).


<span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Working Conditions:


  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Work is performed in an office, clean room, laboratory, manufacturing floor or machine shop environment.
  • <span style="font-family:"Arial",sans-serif">Travel and local commute between Ball campuses and other possible non-Ball locations may be required.
