The Systems Engineering Solutions Strategic Business Unit provides advanced systems engineering and technology applications for intelligence and information enterprises. These applications and solutions deliver enterprise data management, data analytics, modeling and simulation, and technology assessment capabilities that are used to create products that offer actionable information in support of warfighters and decision makers.

 

 

Ball Aerospace’s Albuquerque, New Mexico office is a key provider of science and technology services to the Air Force Research Laboratory and other government research and development organizations. Our multi-discipline staff provides a broad range of scientific and engineering services, including: technology development; diagnostic development; highly-controlled laboratory measurements; field experiments and demonstrations; technology assessments; modeling and simulations; and analyses. We are seeking additional qualified professionals to join our science and technology-oriented organization.

Facilities Specialist Senior

 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Perform a wide variety of building and equipment maintenance work.
  • Maintain, repair and install a variety of machines and equipment.
  • Review and interpret drawings, instructions, specifications and procedures for setting up, operating, or maintaining equipment.
  • Perform a variety of custodial duties including cleaning, moving and lifting heavy furniture or other objects as needed, repairing equipment, and maintaining building environmental equipment.
  • Maintain laboratory monitoring equipment for cleanliness.  Perform maintenance to adhere to desired cleanliness standards.
  • Provide courier services to transport materials in between Ball facilities, Government facilities, and subcontractor/vendor locations.
  • Maintain valid driver’s license and good motor vehicle record
  • Submit purchase requests to support facility maintenance and projects.
  • Maintain required documentation in accordance with BATC policies and government regulations.
  • Collaborate with experimentalists and engineers to set-up laboratory facilities to meet project objectives.  After projects are completed, ensure proper disposition of equipment.
  • May participate in transportation of test related equipment to out-of-state test locations.
  • Follow Department of Defense procedures for the proper usage and safeguarding of classified information.
  • Maintain a flexible and dependable work schedule to meet project requirements associated with Ball facilities and project requirements.
  • Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units and the Company.  Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.

 

What You’ll Need:

 

  • High School diploma or equivalent plus 10 years or more related experience or a related 2-year technical degree and 8 years or more related experience.
  • Each higher-level related degree, i.e., Bachelor’s or Master’s, may substitute for two years of related experience. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
  • Experience working in a research environment is preferred.
  • Excellent organizational and coordination skills.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Top Secret security clearance.
  • Good written and oral communication skills

 

Working Conditions:

 

  • Work is performed in an office, laboratory, or outdoor research environment.
  • Travel and local commute between Ball facilities and other non-Ball locations will be required.\

Compensation & Benefits:

 

  • HIRING SALARY RANGE: $31.25 - $42.55 per hour (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
